The star of "Lethal weapon" died of cancer


Actress Mary Ellen Trainor, who became famous thanks to roles in the movies of the series "Lethal weapon", died in his home in Montecito, California. She was 64 years old.

Traynor died 20 may, but it has become known only in the moment. On the death of the actress has told her close friend, the President of Lucasfilm Kathleen Kennedy. Cause of death was complications arising from pancreatic cancer, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

A funeral will be held on June 19 in Montecito. Relatives of the actress asked, so that everyone who chooses to Mary Ellen for the last time, instead of flowers, made donations to the Fund to fight cancer Teddy Bear.

Traynor was born in Chicago, Illinois. In 1980 she moved to Los Angeles where he then married Director Robert Zemeckis and had a son Alexander. The marriage lasted about 20 years. On the big screen Mary Ellen debuted in 1984 in the movie Zemeckis "the novel with a stone".

She became famous thanks to the role of Dr. Stephanie woods in Lethal weapon" and Harriet Walsh in the movie "the Goonies". Among other things she often starred in films in the films of Richard Donner and Robert Zemeckis.
