In the centre of Moscow the walls of some dwellings will decorate vertical gardening. If the experiment proves to be successful, the practice will be expanded to other Metropolitan buildings. Anyway, all work on the landscaping of homes will be held only with the consent of the inhabitants.
Wall 3 of the Metropolitan dwellings on the Old Arbat decorate vertical gardening, informs "m.24". As told the head of Arbat city district Eugene Babenko, the data structure will be an experimental Playground. If the inhabitants will confirm this project, it will spread to other buildings in the center.
"Blank walls are to be mounted boxes with a hydroponic system, they will land plants. Thanks to a special treatment, such soil for a long time retains water, the result of this need to be watered every 2 weeks," explained Babenko. Among other things he reported that vertical gardening not only looks plausible, it is also environmentally friendly and does not overshadow the facade of the house. The head of the district among other things stressed that all work will be conducted only with the consent of the owners.
1st the results of the experiments, the inhabitants of the city of Moscow will be able to see in the beginning of August. Landscaping will be carried out on the funds of the investor. Unfortunately,in the conditions of the Metropolitan climate, plants on houses will not be able to survive the winter and will need to transplant into the greenhouse.
Most specialists have no doubt that plants on dwellings will bring not only aesthetic benefits, but also protect from heat and saturate the city with oxygen. Also, some experts believe that weed should be not only the center of the capital, but also gloomy industrial zones, shopping centres and even a subway station.
