Trustee and executor of the will of Svetoslav Roerich Lyudmila Shaposhnikova died after a long illness. She was 89 years old.

Shaposhnikova - famous public figure of Russia, the main worldwide researcher and popularizer of creativity of the Roerich family. In 1968 in India, she first met with Svetoslav Roerich's younger son Roerich, a famous artist, educator and public figure. From this point on scientific, cultural and artistic heritage of the famous family becomes the Central theme of her research.
"Developed by L. V. Shaposhnikova society Museum, preserved the Heritage of the Roerichs, excellent in scale and conception of its international public, scientific, cultural and educational activities, her books and covenants remain forever with us," said the Museum. Parting with Lyudmila Vasilyevna will be held 27 Augustus 10.00 to 13.30 in the Museum named after Nicholas Roerich in Moscow.
