Academician Kasyanov killed in automobile accident
In Coastal Territory a director of Sea biology Institute of Far East Russian Academy of Sciences department Vladimir Kasyanov was killed in automobile accident.
The tragedy happened on Saturday October 1 in Hasan region of Coastal Territory where a meeting of science departments? directors took place.
The traffic accident happened on 119 kilometer of Rasdolnoe-Hasan highway. The driver of official automobile has lost automobile control and car turned over. Kasyanov died on the spot. His wife and driver are hospitalized in hard condition.
Vladimir Kasyanov was 65 year old. Academician Kasyanov was also a head of East-Asian committee of International Global Changes Program, a vice-president of Otto Quinn Fund, a member of International Ecology Institute (Germany), an editor of "Russian Sea Biology Journal". His scientific works are published in many countries of the world.
