The Nansen award received Afghan teacher who opened a school for refugees

Asifi, 49-year-old citizen of Afghanistan, has dedicated his life to the fight for access to education of Afghan girls living in the camps of immigrants in Pakistan. Due to her efforts, nearly a thousand people have learned to read and write. According to the UN, only one in two children from immigrant families gain access to education.
