NASA showed Pandora and Titan
Station Cassini took a picture of moons of Saturn - Pandora and Titanium. Pandora is a natural satellite of Saturn (from time to time magnified by Saturn XVII), has a great influence on one of his rings (F ring). About it it is told on the website of NASA.
Even though the Titan may seem at first glance located closer to the station than Pandora, at the time of shooting Pandora is in 3 times closer to Cassini than Titan - main moon of Saturn. This is due to the sizes of celestial bodies. the Diameter of Titan is 5150 kilometres and Pandora is 81 kilometers.
Picture made by Cassini station 4 July 2015 at a distance of 1.9 million miles from Titan and 698 thousand miles from Pandora. A resolution of 12 km per pixel (for Titanium) and 4 kilometers per pixel (for Pandora).
The objective of Cassini-Huygens is a joint project of NASA and the European space Agency. The main objective is the study of Saturn, its rings and Titan, the largest satellite of the planet.
To achieve the desired result of 15 October 1997 from Cape Canaveral in Florida was launched unmanned space ship. July 1, 2004 it entered the orbit of Saturn. December 25, 2004 from the satellite separated probe Huygens, 14 January 2005 landed on Titan's surface.
