Same-Sex Marriage Bill Introduced In D.C.!
We`re one step closer!
A bill was introduced on Tuesday on Capitol Hill to allow same-sex marriages in Washington D.C.!
Council member David A. Catalina introduced the bill yesterday morning before his fellow council members which stated, "any person . . . may marry any other eligible person regardless of gender."
The bill, which is expected to be voted on before Christmas, is expected to pass without a fight from the House and Senate, because both "have their plates really full" at the moment, says Del. Eleanor Holmes Norton.
Although a couple of Republican reps say they will try and stop the bill from passing, the number of Democrats outnumbers Republicans in the House, which same-sex marriage supporters are hoping will work with their cause.
One step in the right direction!
