China named as the most Smoking country in the world
English researchers have named China's most Smoking country. According to their data, residents of China smoke thirty percent of cigarettes in the world.
English researchers came to the conclusion that Chinese people smoke thirty percent of tobacco globally, which has a great impact on mortality, says The New York Times. To the best knowledge of the researchers, by 2050, from diseases of the respiratory system and cardiovascular system will be killed up to 3 million Chinese a year.
Currently in China smoke, about two-thirds of the representatives of the stronger sex. The bulk of them are addicted to tobacco in their Teens. With all of this, only 9% heavy smokers abandon their habit. The number of Smoking women, on the contrary, decreases more vigorously. So, at the moment only 10% of older women living in China and 1% of middle-aged women smoke.
Meanwhile, the fight against Smoking in the country is complicated by the political situation. The government monopolized the tobacco market: it brings up to 7% of the single earnings of the country. Also, in China it is widely believed that Asians are not as susceptible to Smoking-related diseases and can just give up this habit. With all this in China are quite common lung diseases even among non-smokers the result of high levels of air pollution and frequent fires in rural areas.
