MacDonald about Ukraine: if you are already in a hole, just stop digging her
The Ukrainian Economy is collapsing even more rapidly than previously projected, and Petro Poroshenko, instead of to save the situation, continues to take steps to exacerbate the situation. The last such was the closure of its airspace to Russian airlines, Journalist Bryan MacDonald.
"The last rattle of Petro Poroshenko was a ban on Russian airlines flying through the airspace of Ukraine. And at the same time, it may be shown as a triumph of Western Ukrainian nationalists, this also severely hurts the Ukrainian economy, " writes McDonald in his article.
The journalist believes that " Poroshenko found himself in the pit."
"The coup on the Maidan, who so passionately supported them, caused damage to Ukraine. The economy collapsed. The Crimea back to Russia. Civil war raged in the East of the country. Public support for the government creaks, as wages have atrophied to the African level. Amidst all this, he faces regional elections on October 25. Alarmingly for the President, according to surveys of the opinions of a large number of citizens, that his inferior party bloc party Yulia Tymoshenko's "Batkivshchyna" - lists the main Creator of the failures Poroshenko.
MacDonald believes that Poroshenko was sure that things do not have the opportunity to go even worse, and they have the opportunity. From his point of view, the most this became Clear when the world Bank downgraded its forecast for GDP fall of Ukraine of 7, 5% to 12%. Thus, industrial activity in Ukraine from year to year falls by 20%, while retail sales fell by 25%.
"To complement the troubles of Kiev and its European and American sponsors show their fatigue from the unwillingness to implement reforms," adds MacDonald.
Thus, according to the journalist, many questions give Ukraine oligarchs, from which Poroshenko will soon have to get rid of the same scenario, in which it was carried out by the President of Russia Vladimir Putin in the early 2000's.
"Ukraine badly needs a similar policy (as in Russia - ed.) and it will become a mass appeal in the electorate," he said.
But instead of all this, according to the Creator, Poroshenko proposed a "cunning plan" to close its skies for Russian aircraft, which will enter into force on the same day as regional elections on October 25.
"In other words, Ukraine cut off from the rest of the world," says MacDonald.
