Hvorostovsky has a new regalia
The famous Opera singer Dmitri Hvorostovsky has a new regalia. The artist was a noble-born native of the Krasnoyarsk territory.
The decision on the award of the prestigious title Hvorostovsky took the deputies of the Parliament of the region. As explained by the Deputy speaker of the state authority Alexey Kleshko, parliamentarians were guided by the fact that Hvorostovsky is considered one of the best baritones of the present, more than 30 years, his name is among the brightest names of Russian and world Opera scene, informs TASS.
Hvorostovsky was born in Krasnoyarsk, here he graduated from the pedagogical College named after Gorky and the art Institute. Between 1985 and 1990 he was a soloist of the Krasnoyarsk state Opera and ballet theatre.
At the moment, the Opera singer is going through hard times: in early June it became known that the medical personnel found he had a brain tumor. The actor underwent treatment for cancer and uniformly returns to work: he has recently performed at the contest "New wave" in Sochi.
In late October, Golden baritone will be released on the Metropolitan scene with Aria of count di Luna from Giuseppe Verdi's "Il Trovatore" at the theater "Helikon-Opera". Own health, Dmitri prefers not to extend, but in Sochi, assured correspondents that feels great.
