Police say one of the victim's friends on behalf of Uber said the driver took her home because she was drunk and could not stand on his feet. The driver 29-year-old Pierre Vesta took her in his arms, to go in the car.
Investigators believe that Pierre found the victim in a bar in Washington on the night of 18 October, took her to his home in Virginia. But instead of leaving her house, he then took her to the Budget Inn in College Park.
Once there, he checked into a hotel, using its own information, got the woman out of the car and carried her into the hotel room. After a while, Pierre allegedly left the room and went to a nearby building where he used an American Express card of a victim, to withdraw the $14.00.
Pierre was detained on Thursday. He is accused of kidnapping, assault and theft of funds via credit card of the victim.
