In Mexico due to landslides killed 40 people


At least 40 people were killed in flash floods in the Mexican States of Puebla and Veracruz after tropical storm Earl, which hit Eastern Mexico, said on Twitter national civil protection coordinator Luis Puente.

In Puebla killed 28 people, the Governor Rafael Moreno Valle, visited areas affected by tropical storm Saturday, and posted photos on his official Twitter page, which is visible to the damage caused by the storm.

"The government will allocate resources for the reconstruction of destroyed buildings. We will not rest until all the destruction caused by the storm will be repaired," - said the Governor Rafael Moreno Valle.

The Governor tweeted that recorded 11 cases of death "due to landslides hill in the mountainous areas of the state." Before becoming tropical storm Earl had the status of a hurricane and moved across the district, and then was downgraded to a tropical storm.

"Remnants of hurricane Earl (now a tropical storm) is moving from the South-West coast of Mexico and is expected to recuperate," said meteorologist Derek van Dam. While the storm was downgraded, heavy rains will continue, forecasters said.

As expected, heavy rains will spill over parts of the Mexican States of Guerrero, Hidalgo, Oaxaca, Puebla, Veracruz and Tlaxcala tonight," said national hurricane center. "These rains could cause life-threatening flash floods and landslides."
