In Syria during the explosion killed 48 people
The explosion of a suicide bomber killed 48 people, including women and children, on Wednesday in Northern Syria, said the Britain-based Syrian Observatory for human rights.
Truck bomb exploded near a building belonging to the Kurdish security Agency and other government agencies in the city of Qamishli, near the border with Turkey, reports CNN's Nick Paton Walsh. 140 people were also injured.
ISIL has claimed responsibility and said in its statement that one of its members drove a truck Packed with explosives to reach the Kurdish administration complex. ISIS reported that the operation was "a response to crimes committed by coalition military aircraft against the vulnerable groups of the population, men, women and children in Manbij city."
Human rights activists last week said that the United States made air strikes on the city of Manbij, which is under the control of ISIS and killed more than 100 people.
