46-year-old woman was taken by a crocodile while swimming with a friend on the beach in the far North of Queensland in Australia.
A woman with a friend at 10.30 PM on Sunday bathed on a remote stretch of beach Thornton beach in a National Park in Cairns, when she was attacked by a crocodile.
"We can't pass a law against human stupidity," said member of Parliament Warren Jentzsch Monday, noting that Thornton beach is situated beside a stream, where tour operators have launched a "crocodile tours".
"This is a tragedy, but it is something that can be avoided if you stay on the ferry, and watch out for crocodiles," he added. "If you go swimming at 10 PM that you're going to get."
Senior scientist, head of emergency operations and emergency services, Neil noble, and emergency services were called immediately after the attack, but still trying to find a victim. "An extensive search was held all night ... but unfortunately, at this stage no one has been found."
Police said the other women tried to pull the victim to safety, but the crocodile was too strong. The second woman is currently, which was also attacked by a crocodile, is undergoing treatment at a local hospital.
The top North of Australia is well known fact that there are crocodiles, but swimming areas are usually clearly marked with warning signs and the attacks of crocodiles is not so common. In the period from 2005-2015, there were 15 cases of attacks crocodiles fatal.
