In St. Louis during a shootout was killed by a police officer. About 7:30 p.m. Sunday, an armed man pulled up in a silver car and opened fire, said the chief of police of St. Louis Sam Dotson.
The murder occurred after a police officer from Texas was ambushed in a fatal shooting. Police are currently searching for a suspect. In a series of tweets, the Governor of Missouri Jay Nixon expressed his support and said, " that the work of law enforcement officers very dangerous."
After searching the suspect, the police eventually tracked him down, he was riding in a friends car. When the police tried to stop the car, the gunman ran and shot once in the patrol car. Officers returned fire and killed the suspect. The investigation is still ongoing, police said.
