In Australia the driver almost died in a water pit
In Australia driver 3 tonne excavator Daniel Miller fell into a water pit. The Aussie was a few hours in an uncomfortable position so he could breathe.
The tragedy occurred when 45-year-old Miller on Tuesday was driving the excavator around his property 180 miles North of Sydney. He was driving near the dam when it collapsed, tumbling the excavator in a muddy pond and pressing Miller under one of the rods attached to the car.
He had to arch his back to keep most of her face above the water. And finally, a neighbor heard his cries for help. "I was trapped and had to keep my head above the water, using my hands. I guess it was the position of the Cobra," said Miller in the Sydney Daily Telegraph. "I'm not a yogi, but I guess you could say that yoga saved my life."
The wife of the Miller, Saimaa, said on Facebook that her husband was trapped for 5 hours, although rescuers said it was more like 2 hours. In any case, the chief police inspector Neil Stephens said: "He was very lucky that he survived."
After the man was released, Miller was taken to the hospital by helicopter. He was treated with hypothermia and minor injuries of the back. "The whole time I was trapped, I kept thinking about her and my two little kids," he said.
