Isla Fisher and Sacha Baron Cohen have married in Paris
The couple have been together for around seven years, and have two-year-old daughter Olive together. They had been engaged for several years, with Isla converting to Judaism in 2007 following three years of study so they could have a Jewish wedding.
It has now been claimed they tied the knot in the romantic French city last Monday. "We did it - we`re married! It was the absolute best day of my life and in so many beautiful moments I missed you all so much," Isla wrote in an email to friends, according to Australian magazine Women`s Day. "I thought of you as everything was happening, but Sacha and I wanted no fuss - just us."
The couple are said to have married at sunset, and invited just a handful of relatives to witness the nuptials.
Isla, 34, and Sacha, 38, met at a party in Sydney, Australia, in 2002. Sacha popped the question two years later while they were enjoying milk and cookies at the exclusive Chateau Marmont hotel in Los Angeles.
Isla has been open about her decision to convert to Judaism. She says the religion has "enriched" her life, adding there was never any question she would follow it if it meant she could be with Sacha.
"I would do anything - move into any religion - to be united in marriage with him," she said. "We have a future together and religion comes second to love as far as we are concerned."
