The girl died after falling from the attraction
In the UK 11-year-old girl during a boat trip in the British theme Park died after he fell into the canyon with water rides. The incident occurred in the canyon at the theme Park, Drayton manor, to the North of Birmingham, Staffordshire police said.
"With great sadness we must report that the girl died in Birmingham children's hospital after the incident on a water ride in the afternoon," said George Bryan, Director of Park and Drayton manor.
Brian added that staff were alerted when the girl fell into the water. "Employees of the theme Park tried to help her, and a helicopter ambulance took her to the nearest hospital," he said. The girl was on a school trip in the Park when the incident occurred. The school released a statement confirming that the student died.
The Park will remain closed Wednesday "as a mark of respect for the family," reads the statement on the Facebook page. The statement did not indicate how long the Park will be closed. "On arrival the crews found the girl with serious injuries that were pulled from the water by Park employees", - he said. "Unfortunately, shortly after arriving at the hospital the girl died".
