8 magnitude earthquake in Mexico tsunami and 5 deaths
In southern Mexico there was a strong earthquake of 8.1 points destroyed a home in the state of Chiapas, which led to at least five dead and tsunami.

In neighboring Guatemala, President Jimmy Morales went on national television to call for calm while the emergency services checked the presence of damage.
Lucy Jones, a seismologist from California, who works with the USGS, said that such an earthquake was to be expected.
"Off the West coast of Mexico is the so-called subduction zone, the Pacific plate is moving under the Mexican Peninsula," she said. "And so it is often a great earthquake."
