Brooke Shields needs two hours to achieve her "natural" look
The 44-year-old actress has blasted Hollywood`s unrealistic beauty standards, saying she feels increasing pressure to look perfect as she gets older. The glamorous star has a body and face most women her age would die for, but Brooke insists her natural beauty is fading and she needs a team of experts to help her appear fresh.
"I have to be in shape. I have to get teams of hair and makeup people to spend two hours to make me look natural," she is quoted as saying.
The star hates the way looks govern the career of an actress, but accepts that she has to conform to certain standards in order to stay on top of her game.
"In Hollywood , it`s an unfortunate thing but looks are very important," she said, "How you look is what precedes everything so it does play a part in my work. In order to compete you have to be your best. It`s unfortunate that we focus on that but it`s just a reality."
The brunette beauty also uses a team of stylists to make sure she keeps on top of the latest trends.
She has previously laughed at claims she is a style icon and admitted she cheats by calling her team when she gets an idea for an outfit. "So I`ll get an idea and I`ll call a stylist and ask how to achieve that certain casual yet chic look," she said.
