Zoe Saldana is desperate to star in a sequel to Avatar
The 31-year-old actress played Na`vi alien Neytiri in James Cameron`s sci-fi epic. She adored every aspect of the role, and would love to do another film. Speaking at the Metropolitan Museum of Art`s annual Costume Institute Gala benefit last night, Zoe said she is just waiting for Cameron?s call and would go anywhere he asked her to.
"As soon as the boss calls me, I`ll be there," she gushed.
Cameron recently revealed he is already feverishly planning a second, third and even fourth film, and plans to start working on the next one immediately. He is confident the new film will thrill fans, but has not revealed when it will hit cinemas.
"It wasn`t really planned as a trilogy," Cameron explained. "I mapped out a second and a third story, but the second story is more in focus. The third story is fainter and if there were a fourth story, it would be fainter yet. I have a road map for Avatar 2. I know where I`m going with it and I`m not planning any long hiatus before I start work again."
Avatar is the highest-grossing film of all time and received nine nominations at this year`s Academy Awards.
