Miley Cyrus and Justin Bieber had an intimate dinner
The 17-year-old singer-and-actress and the 16-year-old Canadian pop star arrived at West Hollywood`s Ari-Ya Sushi restaurant together at around 7pm. They hurried inside, where they spent two hours laughing and talking animatedly while they enjoyed dinner.
By the time their meal was over, a horde of paparazzi were waiting outside the restaurant hoping to get a shot of the teen stars canoodling. They were left disappointed, however, with the pair walking back to their car a few metres apart, and denying any romance.
Miley said she and Justin had spent the evening discussing a "side project", while Justin seemed less certain about the status of his meal with Miley. When asked by photographers if they were on a date, he blushed and paused, before saying Miley was "just having fun" with him.
A few hours later, Justin clarified the nature of his relationship with Miley on his Twitter page, insisting they were just friends.
"Met up with a friend tonight for some dinner," he wrote.
Justin has previously said he would never consider dating Miley because she is not his "type".
Miley, who is currently dating her The Last Song co-star Liam Hemsworth, has also denied she would consider a romance with Justin.
"Bieber fever... I`m not necessarily a fan. I don`t listen to that kind of music," she said recently.
