Amanda Seyfried and herboyfriend are to take a break
The stars began datingafter meeting on the set of Mamma Mia! in 2008. Although they were smitten with each other, the pair found it difficult to maintain a long-distance relationship as Amanda lives in Los Angeles while Dominic is based in London. They still have feelings for each other, but have reportedly chosen to take some time apart to see if the relationship can be saved. "They have been on and off for a long time," a source told USMagazine.com. "Right now, they are taking some space from each other. They still talk all the time and are trying to work things out. They are still very good friends. There is no drama. They are just on a break." Amanda has spoken out on several occasions about the difficulties of maintaining a long distance romance. Just last month she admitted that although the pair had a rule about spending time together everymonth, she didn`t know if she was seeing enough of the British hunk. "You must take turns to get on aeroplanes - it`s not fair if one person is doing all the travelling," she said, when asked for tips on how to make long-distance romances work. "But honestly? I don`t know. Sometimes I feel like it doesn`t work - but we`re still trying."
In a recent interview, the 24-year-old American actress also confessed she wasn`t sure if Dominic was "The One" for her.
While Amanda has been promoting her new movie Letters to Juliet, Dominic has been in France attending the Cannes Film Festival. The 31-year-old actor partied with Amanda`s Mean Girls co-star Lindsay Lohan until 5am on Wednesday morning. The pair were laughing and joking at a Belvedere party at club LeBaron and at one stage in the evening, Dominic was spotted putting his arm around Lindsay`s waist.
