Rescue tug sent to damaged ships
On Tuesday about 12:00 by Moscow time a rescue tug of Emergency Control Ministry "Irresistible" will come to help a crew of two river towboats which crashed in Kara Sea the day before.
Leaving Tazovskii port on October 3, a tug is already 20 hours on the way. This was announced by press-service of Siberian regional centre of Emergency Control Ministry.
There is also information that there was a telephone conversation of rescuers with "Yeniseitransservice" general director Alexander Siomberg who is an owner of crashed boats. He said that by captain?s reports the damages "are liquidated by crew" and therefore planed flights of ECM rescuers on helicopters are denied. All 12 people on board have warm clothes, supplies of products and everything they need. There are no victims among them.
Two towboats PT-637 and OTA-948 have to arrive at Krasnoyarsk sailing over Irtish, Ob, Kara Sea and Yenisei. But this weekend during a strong storm in Yenisei bay PT-637 was thrown out to a seaside sand bank and OTA-948 got a leak on the level of living quarter. Now crew managed to stop the leak.
Rescueres consider that powerful towboat "Irresistible" will help crashed boats and return them on lost because of the storm course.
