Tyra Banks felt "sick and was shaking" during some interviews
The model-turned-TV-star has been reminiscing about her talk show The Tyra Banks Show, which is in its final series. The last episode will air in America next week, and the star can`t believe some of the things she has done for the programme.
She has pretended to be a homeless person and a man for different segments, and has interviewed some of the world`s more recognisable people. She spoke to Obama when he was a US senator, and knew he was destined for great things.
"I was so nervous, sick to my stomach and my hands were shaking," she explained. "I asked him to look into the crystal ball and said, `What do you see in your future, Senator?` And without hesitation he replied, `The White House.` That clip ran on CNN and every national morning show. I`ll never forget being a part of political history."
Tyra has used her programme to empower women and show there is no need to conform to the Hollywood ideal of what is beautiful. She has appeared without her hair extensions to show females there is no need to alter your appearance, and has made it her mission to "expand the definition of beauty".
That`s not to say the 36-year-old didn`t also enjoy meeting celebrities - she was particularly bowled over by Robert Pattinson, who plays vampire Edward Cullen in the Twilight movies. "I even got bitten on the neck by Twilight`s sexiest vampire, Robert Pattinson," she laughed to People magazine. "I don`t think I`ve ever felt so envied!"
