Gary Coleman has died
The actor suffered an inter-cranial haemorrhage on Wednesday after he fell and hit his head at his Utah home. He has been in a coma and on life support in Utah Valley Regional Medical Center since Thursday afternoon, and was unlikely to recover.
Gossip website TMZ reports the actor`s family requested that his life support be switched on 28.05.10 at 12.05pm Mountain Standard Time. He was 42 years old.
Earlier today, Gary`s family released a statement begging the star`s fans to pray for his recovery.
"At this critical moment, we can only ask for your thoughts and prayers for Gary to make a speedy and full recovery," the family statement said.
Gary shot to fame when he starred in TV series Diff`rent Strokes in the 70s and 80s. He has since starred in a series of TV shows and feature films.
He is survived by his wife Shannon Price.
