Ashton Kutcher is covered in "war wounds" from his latest film
The actor stars opposite Katherine Heigl in new movie Killers, which is about a couple who are shocked to discover their neighbours could be assassins who are trying to kill them. The role required Ashton to perform numerous dangerous stunts, and he says they left him with countless injuries, including a perforated eardrum and a huge burn.
"I jumped off a boat and punctured my eardrum when I hit the water...I burned a hole in my body from a bullet casing," he revealed in a video interview with E! Online.
"The burn is one of my war wounds. I was running down a street shooting this gun and a dive off because this car is about to hit me and I landed on a bullet and the casing burnt into my skin."
Heigl, on the other hand, did almost no stunts, hiring a body double to perform most of her dangerous scenes. She says Ashton was furious with her lack of involvement, but she didn`t care because she was so scared of being injured.
"I did very little action," she admitted. "I would be like, `I`m not sure I can run that distance, I have sore feet`. Ashton was like, `Just do it!` I think he wanted to kill me!"
Heigl admits there was another benefit of not doing her own stunts - she got to watch Ashton doing his from the sidelines. She thought the actor, who is married to Demi Moore, looked fantastic doing action scenes, comparing his body to that of a Greek god.
"He looks absolutely amazing with a shirt on, without a shirt on. He`s like a Greek god - he`s almost mythical." Katherine sighed.
