Amanda Bynes is retiring from acting
The `Hairspray` actress - who began acting professionally at the age of seven - claims she does not find her career "fun" anymore and has decided to quit life on the big screen.
Writing on her twitter page, Amanda said: "I`ve never written the movies & tv shows I`ve been apart of I`ve only acted like the characters the producers or directors wanted me to play
"Being an actress isn`t as fun as it seems. If I don`t love something anymore, I stop doing it.
"I don`t love acting anymore so I`ve stopped doing it.(sic)"
However, the 24-year-old star - who even had her own Nickelodeon comedy show `The Amanda Show` - admits she is a little young to call it quits.
She said: "I know 24 is a young age to retire but you heard it here first. I`ve retired."
Amanda`s final feature film will be `Easy A`, co-starring `Ghosts of Girlfriends Past` star Emma Stone and `Friends` actress Lisa Kudrow, which is due for release in September.
The actress was recently signed by Screen Gems to appear in two movies after impressing film bosses with her comedy talents.
Screen Gems president Clint Culpepper said: "She`s one of the few who can make that graceful transition from kid to adult star because she has such strong comic chops."
