Johansson is "years" away from having children
The actor claims he and his Hollywood star wife will have a family at some point in the future but are happy being a twosome for now.
Ryan - who married Scarlett in 2008 - also quashed reports the pair are adopting a baby, branding the claims "absurd".
He said: "I would say Ninety-nine point nine percent of it is just absurd. Silly, you know. And then maybe a relative will call me and ask if I?ve adopted a baby from Ghana.
"We`ve not adopted anyone. A few years down the road, we`ll be having a family. But that`s years away at this point."
Ryan - who is currently shooting comic book movie `Green Lantern` - also admitted his image with fans is far from family man but more "party guy" since he starred in comedy movie `Van Wilder` in 2002.
After appearing in the hit film as an out-of-control university student he is regularly invited by fans to knock back drinks with them at the bar.
Talking about the movie, the 33-year-old star told America`s GQ magazine: "It made me the party guy. I walk into a bar and people start lining up the shots."
