An inquest heard that he swallowed a cocktail of drugs before hanging himself in his Mayfair flat.
He had been battling depression and was devastated by the death of his mother, JOYCE, who was due to be buried the following day.
The innovative designer began his career as an apprentice to Savile Row tailors Anderson & Sheppard, and went on to become chief designer at Givenchy.
He left in 2001 to launch his own label, worn by such stars as NICOLE KIDMAN, PENELOPE CRUZ and RIHANNA.
