Drake fears inexpressive generation
Drake fears his generation are "afraid to express themselves".
The Canadian rapper is worried that due to the impersonal nature of modern communication - such as through internet blog posts and mobile phone text messages - young people are not going to grow up knowing how to talk to one another.
He told website Globalgrind.com: "One thing that kills me about my generation is how everyone is afraid to express themselves because of certain people.
"It`s become a very impersonal world because we all talk to each other without looking each other in the face or actually speaking on the phone so it`s become very cruel. It`s so easy to be cruel when you don`t have say it to someone."
The `Up All Night` hitmaker found out last week he is nominated for four Grammy awards, which he said he has been working his way toward through his entire life so far.
The 24-year-old vocalist added: "It`s cliche but it`s a dream come true in the literal sense, that thing you have between sleeping and waking up thinking about.
"I`ve been having this dream, I never knew where it was and it never really specified what the award was, but I knew it was a night I could let the people know - the people in my life know -how much they have done with me. To have four opportunities to have that chance is incredible."
Drake`s debut album `Thank Me Later` is out now.
