Dianna Agron enjoys playing parts written for teenagers
The 24-year-old actress - who plays ditzy cheerleader Quinn Fabray in `Glee` and high school student Sarah Hart in new movie `I Am Number Four` - admitted while she feels like an "old lady", she is happy to portray people much younger than herself.
She explained: "Nobody has stamped me as any older than 16! Which I am fine with as the old lady that I am. I think it`s fun as long as you are playing a really fulfilling character.
"It doesn`t really matter what age they are or what they are like, I think the trick is that they have to be well written and have something to them. It hasn`t really been an issue, although my mom jokes about it. She says, ?You are a ninth year senior`."
Despite their age difference, Dianna believes she is similar to her `I Am Number Four` alter-ego in many ways.
She added to Movies.IE: "I think in certain ways Sarah is close to the real me. I think one of the things I liked about her was that she had something of an old soul quality to her and understanding people is always something that I have always been keen on."
