Kvashin named 5 candidates on Altai governor position
Plenipotentiary of president in Siberian Federal region Anatoly Kvashin named 5 possible candidates on Altai republic head position.
They are federal inspector of Altai region Aleksandr Berdnikov, the head of Choisk region in Altai Republic Aleksandr Borisov, the Government Duma delegate from Altai Republic Sergey Pekpeev, the head of Chita region Federal Security Service Vyacheslav Polezhanov and the first vice-premier of Altai parliament Nikolai Taitakov.
This list of candidates was named by Kvashnin on Tuesday evening during Gorno-Altaisk session of Altai Republic legislative representatives.
Kvashnin noted that before this list will be approved by president there must be only two candidates left there.
The authorities of current republic governor Michael Lapshin ends on January 6, 2006.
