Ginnifer Goodwin called off her engagement
The `Something Borrowed` actress - who got engaged to `Super Troopers` star Joey Kern in December after almost two years of dating - and her fiance reportedly "broke up a few weeks ago", but plan to remain friends.
A source told People.com: "They broke up a few weeks ago but they intend to remain friends."
While no further details are yet available, the love split could prove to be bad news for Ginnifer - who previously dated `American Pie` actor Chris Klein - as she recently admitted she is a "happier person" and more productive in her career when she is in a relationship.
She said: "I`m a better person in a relationship, and I`m a happier person. I need to come home at the end of the day and have it not be about me and my hair and make-up.
"And I think my work is more inspired when home is safe and sound and solid because what I do for a living is so bananas and so insecure."
