On the prowl for horror
Russia`s first-ever horror film festival "After Dark" will kick off in the old town of Vologda, about 500km to the north-west of Moscow, on June 14.
`The festival`s spooky menu will feature nine new horror titles, with Prowl from the author of Manhunt, Patrik Syversen, opening the event.
Lovers of the creepy genre will be able to spend eight weeks on the edge of their seats watching some of the best of the crop of recently made American horror movies.
Each week will be dedicated to this or that specific kind of horror: ghosts, curses, rituals, maniacs, monsters, zombies, aliens and freaks.
There will be films created for the US "After Dark Horrorfest", such as Brett Simmons` Husk; Re-Kill from director Val Milev; Prowl, Fertile Ground from the author of Night of the Demons, Adam Gierasch; The Task by Alex Orwell; Scream of the Banshee by Steven C. Miller, the man behind Automaton Transfusion; Seconds Apart from the Towards Darkness director Antonio Negret; and 51 by Jason Connery who created Pandemic and The Devil`s Tomb.
The festival will run in Russia from June 16 to August 10.
