Spooky Seventh Son
One of Russia`s most skillful directors, Sergey Bodrov, is set to work on a big-budget Hollywood drama The Seventh Son, starring Julianne Moore and Jeff Bridges.
ґBodrov will have a chance to team up with some of Hollywood`s top artists, including Oscar-winning production designer Dante Ferretti who collaborated with such mavericks as Brian De Palma, Anthony Minghella and Claude Chabrol, among others.
A great storyteller, Bodrov made his name as the author of films of real quality such as Nomad, Mongol and also Yakuza Girl, living in Moscow and LA.
His previous feature revolved around the story of one of the world`s strongest and most controversial warriors, Genghis Khan.
Warner Bros.` horror drama The Seventh Son is the cinematic adaptation of Joseph Delaney`s teenage dark fantasy series, The Last Apprentice. It is based on the first book in the trilogy, The Wardstone Chronicles which focuses on Thomas Ward - a "spook". The seventh son of a seventh son has learnt how to deal with the "dark forces", such as ghosts, witches and boggarts.
