Noel Gallagher wrote an "acid house" song for Madonna
The former Oasis guitarist wrote a lot of songs after the group`s demise in 2009, and was planning to offer some tracks to other artists, including a dance tune which he thought would be perfect for Madonna.
Speaking about the track ` AKA... What A Life!`, he told The Sun newspaper: "I was thinking of the piano from Rhythim Is Rhythim`s `Strings of Life`.
"It was very acid house to begin with and so I was thinking of giving it to someone. I thought about Madonna then [my wife] Sara said, `Don`t be daft, Madonna won`t sing it. When are you likely to see Madonna?` So that spoiled it."
The `Death of You and Me` singer has included the song on his debut solo album `Noel Gallagher`s High Flying Birds`, which is released in October, and he expects it to be a hit because it`s got the seal of approval from dance musician Fatboy Slim.
He added: "I asked Fatboy Slim to remix the song because I f***ing love him. But he said he couldn`t do anything with it as it`s great. But I still wasn`t sure so I played it to our office and all the girls loved it. Once girls like it, you`re on to a winner. The song`s easily up there with the best things I`ve ever done."
