Ballet language: German stars to shine in Moscow
Stars from the Hamburg Ballet are heading to Moscow for a Kremlin Gala show. Soloists with the renowned German troupe will perform productions staged by legendary American choreographer John Neumeier.
One of the most renowned choreographers in contemporary ballet, the artistic director of the Hamburg Ballet will be the special guest at the gala in Moscow, which will take place on September 17 and 18.
Two leading soloists of the German troupe, Helene Bouchet and Thiago Bordin, will dance "Adagietto" from Gustav Mahler`s Fifth Symphony and "Meditation" from Neumeier`s "Illusions Like Swan Lake."
The Kremlin Gala program will also feature a duet, "The Lady of the Camellias," to music by Frederic Chopin, performed by Bavarian National Ballet dancers Lucia Lacarra and Marlon Dino.
The program will feature a premiere starring the prima ballerina of the Mariinsky Ballet, Diana Vishneva. She will dance in "Edouard Lock`s New Work."
Both evenings will also see performances by the brightest stars of the Russian stage, including dancers from the Bolshoi and Mariinsky Ballet troupes, as well as performers from the Stuttgart Ballet and Bejart Ballet.
