Reese Witherspoon used to be too scared to travel
The Oscar-winning actress was terrified of leaving her two children - Ava, 12, and seven-year-old Deacon - so would often turn invitations to events down because she was worried about what might happen to her.
She said: "I used to not ever travel. I`ve gotten over so many phobias. Five years ago, I was terrified to travel. I was scared to leave my kids. It`s still not the best feeling."
The 35-year-old beauty says she always used to be confident about things but started to worry about things when she hit her twenties but things have now vastly improved.
She said: "I always had a lot of confidence when I was younger, and then I think I got a little nervous in my twenties. But now I feel better. Now I`m in my thirties, it`s totally better. I`m a little confident again. Not as scared."
However, one thing she does worry about is exposing her children to the digital world because computers and technology can be so dangerous.
In an interview with Marie Claire magazine, she said: "The internet is so challenging as a parent. Your children are just a click away from pornography and paedophilia, and it`s really upsetting. It feels like a siege. It really makes me upset. You really don`t know who they are Skyping with or who they are on Facebook with, and I`m trying to stave all that off for as long as I possibly can, but I know it`s a reality. It`s just inevitable."
