Injured Klichko given Delay
Champion of WBC in the super heavy weight Vitaliy Klichko got injured last week. Because of it his bout with compulsory challenger Khasim Rakhman was abolished again. 90-days-delay will be given for Klichko for treatment.
As publication The Baltimore Sun informed, representatives of Klichko agreed about it with President of the World Boxers Organization Hose Suleiman yesterday. Promoter of the bout Klichko-Rakhman Bob Arum declared already that the possible date of holding the bout would become February or March. This news infuriated manager of Rakhman Steve Nelson, who declared that 4 cancellations of the bout were too much, and WBC had not to give one more delay for Klichko.
Nelson told also that he had information from different independent trustworthy sources that Klichko played not successfully during the last sparring. And even he had to fall down to the floor twice because of blasts got from his sparring partners Travis Walker and Raphael Battler on Thursday and Wednesday. Manager supposes that if Klichko really got injured, it became the consequence of such falls, because it was very difficult to twist the knee in another situation. "But Vitaliy Klichko is an only one person who knows whether he got injured or not", Nelson added, Sportoboz wrote.
