DSK sex scandal to go on big screen?
Women, sex and power could be "just what the doctor ordered" for an ideal action adventure. The political sex scandal involving Dominique Strauss-Kahn has inspired an American film director to develop the story for the big screen.
ґAccording to Deadline.com, the man behind Bad Lieutenant, Abel Ferrara, is currently working on the script that could revolve not only around the former International Monetary Fund chief, but also feature episodes inspired by the sex lives of US President Bill Clinton and and Italian PM Silvio Berlusconi. If Ferrara doesn`t lose the plot in the political conundrum, Monica Levinsky and Ruby the Heart Stealer could become his muses.
Ferrara, whose screen credits include a porno movie, looks set to make his next film casting aside political correctness. The Bronx-born creator of King of New York made his name as one of America`s most provocative and disturbing filmmakers obsessed with themes of drug addiction, sexuality and corruption.
The leading light of French cinema, Gerard Depardieu, whose latest role saw him playing one of the most mysterious and dark figures in Russian history - Grigory Rasputin - has been tipped to play Dominique Strauss-Kahn.
"In general, I`m very good at playing characters that I don`t like or those that I don`t resemble," the actor was quoted as saying.
The former IMF head was arrested this summer after allegedly sexually assaulting a maid at a New York Hotel. The courts dismissed the case after prosecutors failed to proceed saying the maid`s account of the incident had been discredited
