Scarlett Johansson wants to direct her own film
The 27-year-old star has been working on her own feature film "for years," and is keen challenge herself.
She said: "I would like to direct a feature. I`ve been developing it for years. It`s good. I just want to work on stuff that`s challenging to me, physically, emotionally. I don`t want to do anything that doesn`t scare me a little bit."
The `Avengers Assemble` actress is looking to play "established" characters in future movies, and she has her sights set on portraying silent film star Norma Desmond in a remake of 1950 movie `Sunset Boulevard`.
She added to Empire magazine: "As I get older I sort of see that I`m able to kind of move away from characters that are transitional. I`m now looking at characters - women - that are established and are where they are because of where they came from and have a background.
"Actors are always asked to do things that are absolutely ludicrous, whether you`re rappelling down the side of a building or crawling through the woods or fulfilling yourself emotionally.
"I want to play Norma Desmond in `Sunset Boulevard` someday. But I need a couple more years."
