Ukraine resumes "orange revolution"?
KIEV, November 11 - Ukrainian President Viktor Yushchenko has urged all the fellow-Ukrainians to celebrate the forthcoming anniversary of the ?orange revolution,? which falls on November 22 according to the new political calendar, as a "feast of freedom on Ukrainian land."
"All of us will again be together on the Maidan [Kiev?s downtown Independence Square]," Yushchenko said during a televised show where he answered questions from students of a number of Ukrainian universities.
"Ukraine is living a full-fledged life now, and the ideals and values to the defense of which thousands of people rose on the Maidan last year are being translated into practice," Yushchenko said.
"Let?s celebrate that holiday all together," he said.
Yushchenko invited all of his partners to join the festivities - "even those who stood under the banners of the opposite side then."
He also said he would offer all the political parties to sign a memorandum on decent election and mutual understanding November 22.
