Radwanska to face Serena in first Grand Slam final
Four-time champion, Serena Williams, will take on Agnieszka Radwanska for the Wimbledon title after the Pole reached her first career Grand Slam final.
ґRadwanska booked a place in the decider by getting the better of Germany`s Angelique Kerber in strait sets.
The 23-year-old was trailing early in the opener, but managed to win five games in a row to wrap the set up.
The third seed was able to break her opponent at the start of the second set to grab a well-deserved 6-3 6-4 win.
The win has made Radwanska the first Polish woman to play a Grand Slam final since 1939.
Serena Williams of the US also needed the minimum of two sets to end the run of second-seeded Belarusian Victoria Azarenka in the other semi-final.
The American took the set first with confidence, but it was lot tighter in the second as a tie-break was needed for Serena to prevail with a 6-3 7-6 score.
The ladies final at the All England Club is scheduled to take place on Saturday.
