Sharon Osbourne feels "empowered" by turning 60
The showbiz matriarch feels stronger than ever in the run up to her sixtieth birthday next week (09.10.12) and has vowed not to waste her life worrying about her health since winning her battle against colon cancer in 2002.
Sharon said: "With every age there`s a down and a plus. You get wisdom, you get inner strength, you get empowered. I`m 60 and I`m healthy and I`m happy and I`m not going to waste it worrying.
"I never thought I`d get here, let alone everything else. My life now is a bonus, really."
The outspoken star - who is married to legendary rocker Ozzy Osbourne - confessed the one thing she was unhappy about was her body, so she embarked on a strict diet and exercise regime to lose weight before her birthday.
Sharon explained to People magazine: "I didn`t want to get to 60 and still feel uncomfortable in my clothes. That was one of the things on my bucket list before I turned 60.
"I left it until the very last minute, of course, because that`s the way I run my life. I looked and saw The Atkins Diet and I thought, `That`s for me`."
The `Osbournes` star was joined by her husband and daughter Kelly on her chat show `The Talk` to celebrate her milestone birthday, where she revealed her dream for the upcoming year is to learn Italian.
She joked: "I want to learn another language other than swearing. I want to learn Italian. I don`t know one word other than pasta, but I will learn."
Sharon is gearing up for her son Jack`s wedding in Hawaii this weekend.
