Office of Public Prosecutor of Lithuania: pilot Troyanov may come back home
The pilot of Russian SU-27 that crashed in Lithuania, Valerii Troyanov is free and may come back to Russia, said public prosecutor of Lithuania Mindaugas Duda.
In Thursday Office of Public Prosecutor stopped prejudicial inquiry about Russian pilot and cancelled a prevented punishment as house arrest.
Public prosecutor didn?t say yet which decision the Lithuanian side made about debris of fighter. These debris are material evidence of the Office of Public Prosecutor in Lithuania.
The fighter SU-27 flied with a group of other planes from Leningrad region to Kaliningrad and on September, 15 wrecked above Lithuanian territory. Failure of the system of navigation was the reason of the crash. When the fuel was over the pilot ejected.
Troyanov was in Vilnus by house arrest before the decision of Lithuanian officials.
