Chechen representative detained for extortion
Representative of Chechen republic in Adygeya Kazbek Isaev arrested in Maikop.
As Office of Public Prosecutor reported, Isaev was arrested on suspicion of money extortion from businessmen and of illegal weapon storage.
Press-service of Chechen government noted that "the head of Chechen Republic Alu Alkhanov who is on tour over central regions of Russia was informed about incident". On behalf of Alkhanov a governmental committee was formed for investigation of this case. The head of Chehcen governmental department noted that government took action of Adygean police with perplexity.
On Monday Maikop city court decided to leave Isaev under arrest.
