Woman who killed rapist is not guilty
The public prosecutor has exculpated Alexandra Ivannikova from killing rapist. The case may be closed next session.
The public prosecutor asked to withdraw an action and discharge Ivannikova because he thinks the defendant was using necessary defence, Lublinsky court of Moscow informs. Yesterday Ivannikova herself told she wasn?t at alcoholic intoxication condition at the time of murder and the expert in narcology confirmed her words.
Next court session to be held at 25, November. Court?s decision will be proclaimed then, "Interfax" reports.
Lublinsky court has brought Alexandra Ivannikova in a verdict of guilty on June and sentenced her to two years of deprivation of liberty on probation. The court bound her to pay 200000 rubles to the alliance of killed for reparation of damages.
The court took into consideration several attenuating circumstances including the fact Ivannikova has infant in arms. But after a month Mosgorsud disaffirmed the sentence of Lublinsky court and sent the case for a new examination, NTV informs.
The defendant stopped a car at 8 December 2003 and asked to drive her home for 100 rubles. After a time the driver fell on her. In an effort of self-defense she wound the rapist in the leg using knife. The man died of loss of blood.
