Administration of "Rodina" political party has no anti-Semites
Leader of political party "Rodina" Dmitry Rogozin appealed to close discussion of "anti-Semitism" in his party during meeting with the Russian Head rabbi Berl Lazar.
"Neither me nor my party are anti-Semites", - declared Rogosin.
Commenting the fact of "letter 500" with demand to prohibit several Jewish organizations in Russia, which was signed by members of "Rodina" fraction, Rogosin said that majority of delegates didn`t read letter before signing it. Moreover, by his words, Duma fraction consists not only from members of "Rodina" party and, therefore, they don`t follow inner-party discipline.
"Incidents similar to "letter 500" inspire extremists on new terrorist actions from one side, and spoils image of certain political party and country as a whole. They can even lead to split of Russian society", - said rabbi Lazar.
Lazar noted that it necessary to use influence, which "Rodina" party has, for overcoming of aggressive mood among radical youth groups.
