Violin of Carlo Bergonzzi is in Moscow
Moscow, November 22 - The exhibition "Ex-Paganini in Moscow" has opened in the State Pushkin Museum of Fine Arts
At the exhibition visitors can see the violin of Carlo Bergonzzi, bought in November 1, 2005 by the chief of the trustee council of Violin Arts Maxim Victorov. He purchased it at the auction Sotheby?s for 579,9 thousand pound sterling.
"This is the first time, when Muscovites and guests of the city can enjoy the wonderful instrument of the famous musician.", - said Victorov.
The violin is insured by the owner on the sum of $4,5mln.
In December 1 in the Big Hall of Moscow conservatory Russians will have a chance to hear music of the famous instrument for the first time.
